Building Language Learners – A Cross-Age Language Experience

On Monday morning June 30th, our Year 1/2 and Year 5 students took part in a special event called Building Language Learners at school, facilitated by Isabel and Parker from Language Teachers Victoria. As part of the program, our Year 5 students were trained to become language leaders. They explored what makes a great language leader and developed skills to support younger learners. The highlight of the day was a fun domino game where the Year 5 students worked with small groups of Year 1/2 students to practise using the target language together. It was a wonderful opportunity for leadership, collaboration, and language learning across year levels!
