BIG GREEN SCHOOLS CONFERENCE HOSTED AT CARRUM PRIMARY SCHOOL
Hi this is Meila and Ruby J
We were part of the big green school conference. The big green conference is when 13 different schools meet here and we show them all about our lovely biodiversity at our school. Everyone in the environment team gets the chance to run activities, be tour guides and teach other schools about our environmentally safe school. Some of our favourite activities were the yeast observation where we combined different amounts of yeast water and sugar together and monitored them, there was also the wetlands/seed bomb activity where together we mixed clay soil and seeds. The different students and teachers all took home a lump of this mixture to plant in their garden.
Chickens and goats was another fun activity where they got to feed our chickens and goats and inform everyone with some fun facts. This was all thanks to the organization of Ms Shew and Sandra we couldn’t have done it without them!
